SUMMARY:Fans of East Asian Film Meet Up
LOCATION:Hilton Austin Downtown / Room 408
DESCRIPTION:Whether you grew up on Ozu’s quiet poetry\, were shaped by Edward Yang’s urban epics\, or fell for Wong Kar Wai’s aching romance\, this Meet Up is for you. Maybe you found your way in through Hirokazu Koreeda’s tender humanism or Bong Joon-ho’s genre-bending thrillers. Join fellow fans to celebrate classics and new voices from Japan\, Korea\, China\, Hong Kong\, Taiwan\, and beyond. We’ll swap recommendations\, share behind-the-scenes stories\, and explore the role East Asian cinema plays in today’s global film culture. Open to newcomers and longtime cinephiles alike!
