SXSW London 2026 Music Guide: Top Artists, Day Picks, and How to Attend

SXSW London returns to Shoreditch for its sophomore year from June 1–6, 2026, with four full days of music across multiple venues. After a successful London debut last year, the festival has added another fantastically varied lineup spread across East London's iconic spaces.

How the Music Works

SXSW is a multi-layered festival. If you're strictly in it for the music, the wristband pass is the way to go — it grants access to the full multi-venue musical array across Shoreditch. The festival has partnered with curators including Crack Magazine, Huck, Notting Hill Carnival, Mahogany, and BBC Introducing to shape the lineup.

Ticketing options:

The music kicks off properly on Tuesday, June 2, though Pete Tong will play Brick Lane Yard on Monday, June 1 for delegate pass holders.

Day-by-Day Top Picks

Tuesday, June 2 — Hip-Hop and Electronic Openers

Earl Sweatshirt headlines Shoreditch Town Hall (10pm–11pm, curated by NOTION). One of the most distinctive voices in hip-hop over the last 15 years, Earl's live shows are described as "less like a performance and more like you've stepped inside his stream of consciousness — no heavy backing tracks, just pure lyrical genius."

Other highlights: Sega Bodega (ambient set, curated by Crack Magazine), Jax Jones (delegates only, Brick Lane Yard)

Wednesday, June 3 — The Biggest Day

Rachel Chinouriri headlines Shoreditch Town Hall Assembly Hall (9:15pm–10:15pm, curated by Mahogany). Since breaking out with "All I Ever Ask" and her Glastonbury 2023 set, she's released her debut album What A Devastating Turn Of Events, supported Sabrina Carpenter's UK tour, and appeared on Jools Holland.

Wednesday features the most special guests of the festival:

Thursday, June 4 — Afrobeats and R&B Takeover

Tiwa Savage headlines Shoreditch Town Hall Assembly Hall (9pm–10pm, curated by DJ Ace's Everything R&B). A legendary name in afrobeats, this is a significant show following her recent move back to London and her latest record This One Is Personal, featuring Skepta.

Other highlights: ODUMODUBLVCK (Village Underground, curated by Clash), Amaria BB (Caribbean Music House, curated by DEADLY)

Friday, June 5 — Post-Punk Closer

Shame closes the festival at Village Underground (10pm–11pm, curated by Huck Magazine). The Brixton-born band returns to East London with four albums of material — their latest being 2025's Cutthroat — for what's certain to be a raucous finale.
