# Five Days with a Mix of 'Already All This?'

By Alvaro Machado, Director of Strategy and Innovation at HSM and Learning Village.

The feeling is one of immense learning, with openness and exchange. One of the main themes is the importance of human connection as a way to enhance knowledge sharing, build trust, and facilitate new business. The festival's dynamic promotes exactly this — those who come open to connect, without clinging to rigid schedules, live an extraordinary experience.

## Highlights from the Stages

**Malcolm Gladwell** recorded a podcast with Surajert Ghosh, Heineken's Chief AI Officer, reinforcing the importance of structuring new processes to exploit AI's potential rather than incorporating technology into originally analog processes.

**Steven Spielberg**, one of the most anticipated attractions, spoke about the importance of intuition in the creative process — listening more to whispers than the brain's loudest voice. Intuition, which comes from accumulated life experiences, demands constant renewal of those experiences to stay alive.

**Scott Galloway** discussed the global and American political landscape in a recording of the "Raging Moderates" podcast with Jessica Tarlov and James Talarico.

**Aza Raskin** presented deep research from the Earth Species Project on using AI to decode animal and nature sounds. While it may seem strange and purposeless, this is exactly the "deception phase" in Peter Diamandis's 6Ds curve. Once we break this communication barrier, the expectation is that humans will no longer be the center, and we can expand human intelligence — since most solutions to problems lie beyond our imagination.

## Key Takeaways

- AI should transform processes, not just accelerate existing analog workflows
- Spielberg champions intuition as essential to creativity — requiring constant renewal of experiences
- Earth Species Project's AI-driven animal communication decoding could expand intelligence beyond human-centric models
- Looking at the non-obvious is essential to expanding knowledge and unlocking breakthrough results
