DESCRIPTION:Internationally acclaimed artist Tom Sachs transforms everyday materials into visionary works and inimitable worlds. From his New York studio\, Sachs leads his team in a multidisciplinary art practice across sculpture\, painting\, ceramics\, industrial and graphic design\, and movie making. His body of work notably includes his bricolage Space Program\, NikeCraft\, and the recently published Tom Sachs Guide (Phaidon). He has exhibited at institutions such as The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum\, New York\, The Whitney Museum of American Art\, New York\, The Centre Georges Pompidou\, Paris\, and the Mori Art Museum\, Tokyo. In this session\, Sachs discusses the path from idea to execution to exhibition\, shares the rituals and obsessions that perpetuate curiosity and creativity\, and explains his latest and biggest conceptual work\, I.S.R.U–and how you can be part of it.
